ICD-10 end to end testing with CMS – 2015

Superior Medical Billing Solutions is pleased to announce that we were chosen as one of 800 entities to complete ICD-10 end to end testing with CMS in January 2015. This gave us the ability to submit claims to CMS with ICD-10 diagnosis codes to see if the claim cycle was set up to work correctly.

We submitted our claims to CMS during testing week January 26th to 30th and had no issues with our software being able to handle ICD-10 diagnosis codes. Our claims were accepted into the CMS system without issue. CMS did have some issues on their end with the processing of ICD-10 claims and are working on fixing those issues internally.

We will continue to work with CMS as a test submitter in their second round of testing in April 2015 and again in the third round in July 2015 to make sure our clients claims are properly adjudicated for payment.

These are just another step in our ICD-10 implementation process to make sure that our clients are ready to transition to ICD-10 on October 1, 2015.
